(Updated 14:00 25 February 2021)
At 12:00 today the airport issued the following statement:
London Ashford (Lydd) Airport – Lockdown England
As lockdown restrictions are eased we are focused on the re-opening of the business based on the safety of our colleagues & clientele.
Today we announce that London Ashford (Lydd) Airport will re-open on Monday 29 March ’21 (subject to Government Guidelines).
Further details can be found on the airport website.
The Government’s “Road Map out of lockdown” has not, so far, prompted the CAA or DfT to issue further directives regarding General Aviation, so GA are still prevented from what they call “Leisure flying”
No Ad Hoc visits – please
Many of you will know the airport is currently being used as a Covid-19 inoculation centre and request that nobody visit unless called as part of the Covid procedures or with Airport Management approval
